How to use Shemin’s Spice Blends

To create our superb selection of spice blends we have focused on blending pure ingredients like mint leaves and rose petals for our Middle Eastern blend, together with some wonderful aromatic spices like Cinnamon, Ground Cardamom and Nutmeg.

Here are some great tips to get you started:

Mix: You can mix any spice blend with breadcrumbs to make tasty crusts and stuffing or coat meat, fish and halloumi before frying.

Marinade: Turn the spices into a delicious marinade, perfect with meat or fish by mixing with oil and/or wine, soy sauce, honey or lemon juice before cooking.

Rub: Rub our spices into dry or oiled steaks, meat joints, fish or veggies before roasting, grilling and BBQ’ing.

Paste: Our spices can be added to pasta, risotto, soups, sauces and dressings – just mix with olive oil or butter.

Glaze: Perfect on slow-cooked meats and roasted veggies, just combine with honey and oil or balsamic vinegar.

Sprinkle: Take a pinch and sprinkle the spices over soups, sauces, stir-fries and casseroles or to season a roast before serving.

Stir-fry: A great way for an absolutely delicious low calorie meal. Add some flavour to any stir fry by adding in some of our spice blends.
