Cashew Nut Pilau

This rice requires very little extra effort to make over simply boiling plain rice, but the taste difference is sensational!

Once you have eaten this pilau you are going to be hard pressed to go back to ordinary boiled rice.

Method

  1. Heat the butter in a large saucepan over a low heat. When it starts foaming add the cashew nuts. Stir fry for 5-6 minutes until the cashew nuts are evenly browned, then lower the heat and stir in Shemins Biryani / Pilau Spice Blend and the ginger.
  2. Spoon the rice into the butter along with the sultanas and gently mix until the rice is coated with the masala butter. Check seasoning.
  3. Serve hot with whatever dish you desire or by itself.
